Genome alternative for crypto, iGaming and PSP businesses
Genome is a Lithuanian e-money institution that accepts licensed iGaming but doesn't list crypto among its permitted industries. Narvi is a Finnish e-money institution with dedicated offers for both. Here's how they compare.

The short answer. Choose Narvi if you run a crypto business, or an iGaming business that needs Swift as well as SEPA. Consider Genome if you're a lower-risk business that wants low published fees, 12 currencies and Visa corporate cards from a self-serve app.Genome publishes more about itself than most EMIs: full tariffs, and lists of permitted and prohibited industries. That makes the comparison precise. Every Genome fact below comes from Genome's own pages and fee document as of 21 October 2026, linked at the end.

Crypto and iGaming
Crypto and iGaming, with every rail
Crypto businessesGenome's permitted-industries list doesn't include crypto, and its prohibited list covers unlicensed crypto and virtual-asset businesses [6][7]. A licensed crypto business is neither permitted nor prohibited on paper, so only an enquiry settles it. "Virtual currencies" is also on its list of industries not supported for international transfers [8].Narvi has a dedicated offer for crypto exchanges, custodians, OTC desks and DeFi entities, and converts crypto to fiat through its OTC desk, paying it into your account [19][22].iGaming businessesGenome permits licensed and regulated betting and gambling [6], but lists "Gambling" among industries not supported for international transfers [8]. In practice, an iGaming client can use SEPA but not Swift.Narvi's iGaming offer covers SEPA, SEPA Instant and Swift under Narvi's own BIC [18][21]. Medium and high-risk tiers cover B2B payments only, so if you pay out to players or consumers, you need the enterprise plan, and we'll tell you that before you're priced.
IBAN
Both accounts are in your name
Genome gives business clients a dedicated EUR IBAN in their own name, which it contrasts with a shared virtual IBAN, and allows up to five accounts per currency [9].Narvi does the same with a dedicated IBAN starting with FI, issued under Narvi's own BIC, NARYFIH2. You can open a separate IBAN for each entity or subsidiary and run them from one dashboard [20]. SEPA Instant is priced the same as a standard SEPA transfer, up to EUR 100,000 per payment [21].
Fees
Read the high-risk tariff closely
Genome's high-risk tariff, which covers iGaming, forex and PSPs, combines fixed and percentage fees: EUR 100 a month, an administration fee of 0.5% a year on your average balance, and EUR 10 plus 0.3% on every outgoing SEPA payment [5][11]. The percentage parts grow with your volume. On EUR 1 million of outgoing SEPA payments a month, the 0.3% element alone comes to EUR 3,000, before the per-payment fee.Narvi prices high-risk and enterprise clients after compliance review [17]. Ask both providers for a quote based on your real monthly volumes and balances, and compare the totals, not the headline fees.
When to stay
When Genome is the better choice
If you're a lower-risk business, Genome's published tariff is hard to beat on entry cost: EUR 10 a month and EUR 1 per SEPA payment [10][11]. It holds 12 currencies, issues Visa corporate cards in nine of them, sends Swift to 161 countries, connects to UK Faster Payments and CHAPS, and accepts payments through a hosted page and Pay by Bank [8][14][13]. It also serves personal clients in the same app [3]. If your industry is on its permitted list and you don't need Swift for it, Genome is a reasonable fit.
How to switch
Switching from Genome to Narvi
What to prepare. You'll need your company documents, details of your directors and owners, and a short description of where your money comes from and goes. The full document list is in our help centre.- Book a short call with the onboarding team for a pricing estimate based on your business profile.
- Complete the online application, which takes about 10 minutes (step-by-step guide).
- Our compliance team reviews your documents and sends a priced offer.
- Fund the account: the onboarding fee, three months of monthly fees and a minimum balance of three monthly fees [17].
- Run both accounts in parallel. Move one payment flow at a time (customers, PSPs, payroll, suppliers) and send each counterparty your new IBAN and the BIC NARYFIH2.
- Close the old account only after the last inbound payment has landed, and move the balance out first: Genome's tariff charges inactivity and administration fees on balances you leave behind [5][10].
