Neteller alternative for iGaming and forex businesses

Neteller is a digital wallet and a checkout method that merchants accept from their customers. Narvi is a Finnish e-money institution that gives your company a dedicated IBAN for its own payments. Here's how they compare.

section
The short answer. If you want your customers to pay you with Neteller, keep Neteller as a payment method. If you're looking for an account your company runs its own money through, Neteller isn't built for that, and Narvi is: a dedicated IBAN in your company's name, SEPA, SEPA Instant and Swift, with dedicated offers for iGaming and crypto businesses.Neteller's consumer account is for personal use, and Neteller for Business settles merchant balances out to the merchant's own bank account [3][4]. So most businesses that use Neteller still need an operating account somewhere. Every Neteller fact below comes from Neteller's or Paysafe's own documents as of 3 November 2026, linked at the end.

Wallet or account

A payment method or an operating account

Neteller is built around consumers: players and traders fund a wallet and pay merchants from it. For a merchant, Neteller for Business is a way to accept those payments and pay customers back, and balances are withdrawn to the merchant's own corporate bank account [4][7].That leaves the operating account question: where your company receives settlements from payment providers, pays suppliers, affiliates and staff, and holds its float. That's what a Narvi account is for, with a dedicated IBAN in your company's name [14].

Industry policy

Built for iGaming and crypto businesses

Neteller accepts licensed gambling and forex merchants as long as they hold the required permits [5]. Narvi has dedicated offers for iGaming operators, platforms and affiliates and for crypto exchanges, custodians, OTC desks and DeFi entities [12][13]. They go on a custom enterprise plan, priced after compliance review [11]. Medium and high-risk tiers cover B2B payments only, so if you pay out to players or consumers, you need the enterprise plan, and we'll tell you that before you're priced.

When to stay

When Neteller is the better choice

If your customers already hold Neteller wallets, offering Neteller at checkout and paying winnings or withdrawals back to those wallets is something an operating account can't replace [7]. Paysafe's merchant onboarding and API cover payments, payouts and refunds [7]. Many operators run both: Neteller as a payment method, and an operating account for everything else.

How to switch

Switching from Neteller to Narvi

What to prepare. You'll need your company documents, details of your directors and owners, and a short description of where your money comes from and goes. The full document list is in our help centre.
  1. Book a short call with the onboarding team for a pricing estimate based on your business profile.
  2. Complete the online application, which takes about 10 minutes (step-by-step guide).
  3. Our compliance team reviews your documents and sends a priced offer.
  4. Fund the account: the onboarding fee, three months of monthly fees and a minimum balance of three monthly fees [11].
  5. Run both accounts in parallel. Move one payment flow at a time (customers, PSPs, payroll, suppliers) and send each counterparty your new IBAN and the BIC NARYFIH2.
  6. Close the old account only after the last inbound payment has landed, and check your Neteller agreement for notice periods and closing fees first.
