Licence
Licence status: payment institution or e-money institution
In the EEA, payabl.'s accounts come from Payabl. Cy Limited, which the Central Bank of Cyprus licenses as a payment institution. The CBC granted the company an e-money licence on 4 January 2024. Its register of 12 October 2026 still lists that licence as not activated, and says the company keeps operating as a payment institution until it is [1][2]. payabl.'s own safeguarding policy describes it as authorised as a payment institution [3].Narvi Payments Oy Ab holds an e-money institution licence from the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority and is passported across the EEA [16]. Both types of institution must safeguard client funds. If licence type matters to your compliance team, your bank partners or your own regulator, check both register entries yourself; they're linked at the end of this page.
IBAN and pricing
Your IBAN and your price, before you apply
A dedicated FI IBAN under Narvi's own BICNarvi issues its own IBANs under its own BIC, NARYFIH2. Your company is the account holder of record, so payers see your name on every payment, and you can open a separate IBAN for each entity and run them from one dashboard [20].payabl. describes multi-currency IBANs in the EU and UK but doesn't say whether they're dedicated or virtual, or which country code they carry [4]. If counterparties or your own auditors care about that, ask before you sign.Pricing you can read firstNarvi publishes its pricing structure and tiers: a one-time onboarding fee, a monthly fee set by risk tier, and three months paid up front [17]. Crypto exchanges, payment services and other high-risk businesses get a priced offer after compliance review, before they fund anything.payabl. doesn't publish its account fees, and the fee annex its card terms refer to isn't public [10]. You'll get a price once you're in the sales process.
Focus
Accounts are the product, not an add-on
payabl.'s core business is card acquiring, and its partner programmes (PayFac, intermediary and referral) are built around it [8]. Business accounts sit next to that offer.Narvi's product is the account. Crypto exchanges, custodians and OTC desks, iGaming operators, platforms and affiliates, and PSPs each have a written offer [18][19]. Platforms that want to give their own customers IBAN accounts can use Narvi's Banking-as-a-Service and white-label products [23].Medium and high-risk tiers cover B2B payments only, so if you pay out to players or consumers, you need the enterprise plan, and we'll tell you that before you're priced.
When to stay
When payabl. is the better choice
If you want card acquiring and a business account from the same provider, payabl. covers both. It also issues Mastercard business debit cards with Apple Pay and Google Pay, and virtual cards [4][14]. Its terms name a UK entity, PAYABL. (UK) LIMITED, for UK accounts with Faster Payments, CHAPS and BACS [15][5], and it collects by SEPA Direct Debit [6]. If you settle in stablecoins, payabl. offers that through its partner BVNK [13].
How to switch
Switching from payabl. to Narvi

The full document list is in our help centre.- Book a short call with the onboarding team for a pricing estimate based on your business profile.
- Complete the online application, which takes about 10 minutes (step-by-step guide).
- Our compliance team reviews your documents and sends a priced offer.
- Fund the account: the onboarding fee, three months of monthly fees and a minimum balance of three monthly fees [17].
- Run both accounts in parallel. Move one payment flow at a time (customers, PSPs, payroll, suppliers) and send each counterparty your new IBAN and the BIC NARYFIH2.
